Woof's

(22 Ratings)
Rollicking sports lounge

This dive bar draws a spirited crowd for darts, pool, drinking, and "Bearaoke" singing. Fans of Woof's rave about the music, strong drinks, and great bartenders. No cover drives people to through the door, and the atmosphere gets people to stay.

Particularly fun when they have special events, otherwise a great place to grab a drink with others. Leather bar with Sports Bar undertones. Gear store in back for your clothing and fetish needs!

Transphobic Owner

Last week I met the owner of the place. He misgendered my partner. Blamed them for it. Got angry that he was getting corrected by a group of 6 of his patrons. Referred to my partner as a thing. Then walked off trying to find someone sympathetic to his "side." And then from what I've heard started talking about committing physical violence against transgender people. This was my favorite bar. I go here multiple times a week. All of his employees are caring, understanding, aware and so far from transphobic. I can never walk in there again knowing that I'd be supporting someone that has these beliefs and disrespected my family so blatantly. Knowing that we are not welcome there.

Ok, but needs improvement.

It was ok. We got there kind of early on a Thursday night, but we needed to get more money because they don't accept cards. They did have an ATM in the back behind the bar, but it's ancient, and needs to be upgraded for the chip reader soon (This coming from an ATM owner). The ATM kept throwing network errors and the bartender seemed aware but said the owner did not want to do anything about fixing it. So the bartender suggested we go next door and use their ATM. I am sorry, but I am not going next door to use an ATM and then come back. I am there, I want to stay there, so when we left, we left. We wanted to stay, but apparently they don't care enough to do what it takes to ensure people stay in the bar.

was ok...probably won't go again

overall was a nice place inside...but i guess at the time i was there wasn't a really good time...i was there early in the evening about 6pm and left about 7:30pm ....reason being is there was about 6 regulars there and the bartender seemed pretty preoccupied with them in a general sense and there was a younger group there with one woman who thought she had to be the LOUDEST one there with an extremely ear piercing laugh.....i had had my fill of younger groups so i got out...i'm sure it is probably better later in the evening....but it is smaller than i thought it would be and decided not to go back that evening...maybe another time but really didn't grab my attention but thought i'd stop in to see it
